Robert C. Menzel November 29, 1937-October 25, 2013 Robert C. Menzel, 75, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday October 25, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born November 29, 1937 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Walter P. Menzel and Katherine (Hardy) Menzel. Robert worked as a custodian for Al's West Supermarket. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and lifetime member of DAV. Robert enjoyed dancing and bowling. On April 28, 1985, in LaPorte, IN, he married Patricia A. (Blind) Menzel who survives. He is also survived by his 4 daughters - Debby Bulger of South Bend, IN, Michelle Griffin of LA, Amy Brookman of Mishawaka, IN, Ruth Menzel of La Porte, IN, and step-daughter - Jean Owen of La Porte, IN; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister - Marilyn of TN; niece - Darma Dorso of TN, and nephew - Brian Keen of South Bend, IN. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A Graveside Service with burial of ashes will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, on Friday November 29, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ed Richter officiating.
