Robert Laughlin

Mr. Robert Donald Laughlin, age 81, of LaPorte, IN, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born November 21, 1924, in LaPorte, Indiana, to Frances Laughlin and Ethel Bell Laughlin, who has preceded. Mr. Laughlin has lived all of his life in the LaPorte area. On June 30, 1946 in Kingsbury, Indiana, he was married to Ella Mae Rhoda, who preceded May 7, 1999. Mr. Laughlin was Owner / Operator of Schafer's Laundry & Dry Cleaning and was a member of First Baptist Church of LaPorte. He was also a Veteran of US Navy during WW II. Surviving is a Son, Mr. Michael A. Gail Laughlin of La Porte, IN, Two Brothers, Mr. Victor Camille Stone of Las Vegas, Nev, Mr. George Linda Stone of San Gabriel, Calif. Two grandchildren, Laurel Beth Jason Laughlin, Amanda Gail A.J. Sorg, One great-grandchild Sophie Faith Sorg. Sister-in-law-Sylvia Anderson of La Porte, IN. A Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the American Legion Post #83 and V.F.W. of LaPorte, Indiana. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, May 27, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 27, 2006. Interment will be at Kingsbury Cemetery in Kingsbury, IN.
