Robert Alan Knotts July 20, 1949-June 23, 2014 Mr. Robert Alan Knotts, 64, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday June 23, 2014 at his home. He was born July 20, 1949 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Thomas Earl Knotts and Dorothy (Strutts) Knotts. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Knotts of Rolling Prairie, IN.; son, Stephan Knotts of La Porte, IN; eight brothers, Eddy Knotts of TX, Adriel Knotts of Kingsford Heights, IN, Thomas Knotts of Rolling Prairie, IN, Kevin Knotts of Rolling Prairie, IN, Keith Knotts of La Porte, IN, Dwayne Knotts of KY, Calvin Higgins of FL, David Knotts of La Porte, IN; two sisters, Melody of FL, Kristy Knotts of South Bend, IN., and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his father, one son, Robert A Knotts, Jr., and one sister, Yvonne Chledowski. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Sunday June 29, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Cremation will take place.
