Robert Jeffers

Dr. Robert E. Jeffers, Ph.D., age 46, of La Porte, Ind., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died 11:21 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at Hospice House in South Bend, Ind. He moved to South Bend, Ind. in 2000 coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was born September 4, 1960 in Pomeroy, Ohio to Thomas Jeffers and the late Henrietta Ackney Jeffers. Dr. Jeffers was employed as a Child Psychologist by the Madison Center in South Bend, Ind. He enjoyed soft-ball, reading, fishing, hunting and follow his nieces' and nephew's athletic events. He is survived by his Father Thomas E. Jeffers of LaPorte, Ind.; Sister, Mrs. Brenda Darren Bissonnette of Chesterton, Ind.; Grandmother, Mrs. Mildred Jeffers of Dexter, Ohio, Two Nieces and One Nephew. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:30 AM Friday, November 3, 2006, Rev. Barry Brown officiating. Interment will be at Standish Cemetery in Dexter, Ohio.
