Robert Heiman

Mr. Robert O. Heiman, age 87, of La Porte, Ind., died 12:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2007, at Fountainview Terrace in LaPorte, Ind. He was born August 29, 1919 in Hanna, Ind. to the late Emil Heiman and the late Hulda Heiman. Mr. Heiman was employed by Kingsley Furniture Co. for eleven years and retired in 1985. He had worked at Indiana Molding and Frame for Twenty years and had also worked for the B & O Railroad. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Tracy. He loved his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards, walking and riding his bike. He always helped people who needed a helping hand, he loved animals and loved to go out and eat. On January 7, 1944 in Tracy, Ind. he married Marie Wildfang who preceded in death September 22, 1997. He is survived by Two Daughters, Mrs. Donna Patrick Dilts of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Hilda Cordova of La Porte, Ind.; One Son, Mr. Norman Heiman of La Porte, Ind.; Seven grandchildren, Greg Doll, Keith Doll, Arthur Cordova, Brian Cordova, Patrick Dilts, James Dilts, Kelli Dilts; One, Step Sister Mrs. Rachel Tapman of Union Mills, Ind.; Nine great-grandchildren; One Brother, Mr. Harold Heiman of La Porte, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Two Sons, Gilbert Heiman and Robert Heiman. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 22, 2007and from 9:00 AM Tuesday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 23, 2007, Rev. David Albertin officiating. Interment will be at Tracy Cemetery in Hamlet, Ind.
