Robert Hamilton

Mr. Robert D. Hamilton, 80, of Mill Creek, Indiana, died Sunday February 28, 2010 at his home. He was born July 27, 1929 in Mill Creek, Indiana, the son of Bert Hamilton and Silva Bunton Hamilton. Robert worked as a crane operator for Allis-Chalmers, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. Robert loved his dog "Mollie". On May 7, 1983, he married Cleda Brown Hamilton, who survives. He is survived by his four sons, Roger Shirley Hamilton of Walkerton, IN, Rodney Hamilton of Mill Creek, IN, Ralph Cindy Hamilton of Bristol, IN, Willard Brown of Mill Creek, IN; four daughters, Trudy Kip Lamb of LaPorte, IN, Roxanne David Jermolowicz of Tampa, FL, Robin Albert Saboski of Columbia City, IN, Roberta Rick Davis of LaPorte, IN; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters Lucille Salzer of Mill Creek, IN, Margaret Bergerson of Tekonsha, MI. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, first wife; Edith Hamilton, sister, June Cash and three brothers, William, Roy and Charles Hamilton. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 12:00 pm, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday March 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, Indiana.
