Mr. Robert L. Engelbrecht, age 75, of 3222 S. U.S. 35, La Porte, Ind., died Sunday, July 3, 2005, at 4:00 AM at his home in La Porte, Ind. He was born Oct. 17, 1929 in Stillwell, IN. to the late Arthur Engelbrecht and the late Grace Burrell Engelbrecht. He lived in this area most of his life. He spent 9 years in the Sacramento, CA area. Mr. Engelbrecht was employed by Harley-Snyder Realty and was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. . He was married in 1952 to Kay Shepherd who preceded him in death. In 1965 he married Ardess Wellinski who preceded in death Feb. of 1976. He is also survived by One Daughter, Mrs. Michelle Stephen W. Jones of Fort Myers, Fla.; One Step-Son, Mr. David Engelbrecht of Mishawaka, Ind.; One Sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Klevorn of South Bend, Ind.;Five grandchildren, Matthew Glossenger, Christopher LaHanse, Allissa Marie LaHanse, Kyle LaHanse, Angela Torabi; Three Great Grandchildren, Aidan Torabi, Nathan Glossenger, and Nolan Waak He is preceded in death by his parents; One Daughter, Mrs. Phyllis A. Alan Zarazee; one brother, Arthur D. Engelbrecht; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Jackson. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 7, 2005, and from 9:00 AM until time of the service on Friday. A prayer service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, July 8, 2005 , Father Lou Pasala officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made the the LaPorte Salvation Army or the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church of Michigan City, IN.
