Robert Eddy

Mr. Robert William Eddy, age 82, of LaPorte, Ind., died Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Golden LivingCenter-LaPorte in LaPorte, Ind. He was born on September 20, 1925 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Charles Eddy and the late Cora Stewig Eddy. He was a life-long resident of LaPorte, Ind. Mr. Eddy was employed by Bethlehem Steel for 24 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of LaPorte Moose Lodge #492, past member of the "Ambassador of Harmony"; 1956 International Championship Chorus. SPEBSQSA. On April 21, 1962 in LaPorte, Ind., he married Marietta Sewell, who preceded, March 8, 1997. He is survived by his; One Son, Thomas Archer of La Porte, Ind.; One Grandchild, Kelly Archer of Texas; One Sister, Fern Schultz of LaPorte, Ind. and One Niece, Lannette Crutchfield of LaPorte, Ind. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Marietta Eddy and one brother, Charles Eddy, Jr. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday, July 26, 2008. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 26, 2008, with Rev. Victor M. Frohne, officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
