Robert Clough

Robert John Clough December 2, 1925-March 2, 2017 Robert John Clough, 91, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Settlers House in La Porte, Indiana. He was born December 2, 1925 in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Otto G. and Anna (Jarka) Clough. Robert retired in 1983 after 35 years as a publications editor for Joy Manufacturing Company. He served in the United States Air Force from 1943-1946 during World War II. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1130 of LaPorte. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. On October 6, 1951, in Michigan City, IN, he married Diana (Lingus) Clough of La Porte, Indiana. Also surviving are three sons, Steven H. (Darla) Clough of Highland Village, TX, Wayne W. (Tina) Clough of La Porte, IN, John R. (Rose) Clough of Noblesville, IN; 6 - grandchildren; 3 - great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard J. Clough and Edward Clough. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, March 6, 2017, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 9:00 am - 10:00 am. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 130 Bach St., La Porte, Indiana, Tuesday March 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ian Williams officiating.
