Robert Christ

Mr. Robert L. Christ, age 78, of La Porte, Ind., died Monday, January 29, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Ind. He was born May 21, 1928 in Michigan City, Ind. to the late Louis Christ and the late Hazel Hanson Christ. Mr. Christ was employed by LaPorte Auto Supply for 20 years and retired in 1973. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was active in radio controlled model Airplane Clubs: Northern Indiana Modelers Assoc. and Midwest Sundowners Remote Airplane Clubs of Wheeler, IN. He was a private pilot which he really enjoyed. He also was in the Indiana National Guard. On June 18, 1950 in LaPorte, Ind. he married Mary H. Condo who survives. He is also survived by his Daughter, Mrs. Cindy Mike Corbett of La Porte, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. Robin Nancy Christ of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Kelly Brooke Christ of La Porte, Ind.; Four grandchildren Jake Corsbie, Erin Christ, Adam Christ, Chloe Christ.; and One Sister, Dottie Christ of Mishawaka, Ind. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 1, 2007, Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
