Robert Boardman

Robert W. Boardman, age 91, of 147 Sagamore Parkway, La Porte, Ind., died Saturday, January 21, 2006, 3:15 PM at Fountainview Terrace in La Porte, Ind. He was born January 31, 1914 in Kingsbury, IN. to the late Harry Boardman and the late Mable Stone Boardman and has been a life long resident of the LaPorte area. Boardman was employed by Allis-Chalmers Corp. for 38 years and retired in 1974. After retirement he worked at Beachwood Golf Course of six years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Senior League of the Church. On September 21, 1935 in LaPorte, IN. he married Margaret Conrad who survives. He is also survived by his One Daughter, Mrs. Jacqueline Donald Gorr of Fort Wayne, Ind.; One Son, Mr. Ronald Marilyn Boardman of LaPorte, Ind.; Three grandchildren Mrs. Diane Janes, Mrs. Susan Leone, Mrs. Michelle Hill, and Five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents One Brother, Kenneth Boardman and One Great Grandchild. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2006 and from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of the Service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2006, Rev. David Young And Rev. Ronald Brauer officiating.
