Rita Jackson

Mrs. Rita Sue Jackson, 62, of 201 Polk Street, LaPorte, IN., passed away, Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at her home. She was born, July 18, 1942 in South Bend, IN., to Catherine Brown and Luther Jeffries, her mother has preceded her in death. She had lived in the Kingsford Heights, IN. area for 32 years, then coming to the LaPorte, IN., since September of 2004. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Weslyan Church of Kingsford Heights, IN. She enjoyed doing word-find and crossword puzzle books. On November 4, 1967 in South Bend, IN. she married James Jackson who survives. Also surviving is her father, Luther Jeffries of New Carlisle, IN.; mother-in-law, Marie Dewey of Michigan City, IN.; two daughters, Cathy Jim Sweet of LaPorte, IN., Pam Brian Uidl of LaPorte, IN.; grandaughter, Christy Uidl of LaPorte, IN.; two sisters, Sparkle Jeffries of New Carlisle, IN., Sandra K. John Bush of LaPorte, IN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Brown Jeffries. A Memorial Service will be held at the Haverstock Funeral Home in LaPorte, IN. on Friday 01/07/2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Douglas Hadley, officiating. Burial of ashes will be in the New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle, IN.
