Richard W. White, a man of many talents and passions, bid farewell to this world on June 26, 2024, in La Porte, Indiana. Born on June 8, 1942, in Cavalier North Dakota, Richard's journey on Earth was marked by dedication and a deep love for his family.
Throughout his life, Richard pursued diverse career paths. Starting as a long-haul trucker, he later ventured into construction, real estate, and rentals. His work ethic and determination shone through in every endeavor he undertook. It was during his time spent in Canada fishing that Richard found solace and joy, embracing the tranquility of nature.
Education played an essential role in Richard's life, having graduated from Rolling Prairie High School with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for learning. His insatiable curiosity drove him to explore new horizons and acquire skills that would serve him well in his various professional ventures.
Richard's service in the Army during the Vietnam era exemplified his courage and commitment to his country. His bravery on the battlefield reflected the strength of character that defined him throughout his life.
Known for his warm personality and unwavering love for his family, Richard will be remembered as a man who cherished every moment spent with those he held dear. His granddaughter, Cada White, held a special place in his heart, bringing him immense joy and pride.
In mourning Richard's passing, we remember not only the legacy he leaves behind but also the profound impact he had on those around him. He is survived by his son Eric (Kim) White; brothers Gerald and Larry White; sister Anita Phillips; sister Carol; as well as other family members and friends who will carry his memory with them always.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. Cremation will take place with a memorial gathering at a later date.
