Richard Milich Sr.

Mr. Richard L."Pappy" Milich Sr., 68, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Saturday June 27, 2009 at La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. He was born January 7, 1941 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of John Milich and Margaret Anderson Milich. Richard worked as a Welder for Modine Manufacturing Co. He was a member of Army Reserve. He enjoyed football, camping, gardening and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He is also survived by his Life Partner Chris Marshall of Rolling Prairie, IN; 1 son Richard Stacy Milich Jr. of Michigan City, IN; 2 daughters Richelle Scott Milich of Michigan City, IN, Patti Phil Chapman of Piedmont, AL; 4 grandchildren Tyler Ackerman, Samantha Milich, Andrew Milich, Jennifer Bishop; 1 great-grandchild Trevor Ackerman; and 3 sisters Sandra Norman Brinkman of Michigan City, IN, Gale Killingsworth of Michigan City, IN, and Judy Don Coe of Tipton, IN. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers; Ronnie Milich, Billy Milich, and Johnny Milich. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, July 02, 2009 11:00 am - 2:00 pm & from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday July 2, 2009 at 6:00 PM with David Swartz officiating, cremation will follow.
