Richard Froh

Mr. Richard W. Froh, 79, of 9555 W. 125 S., LaPorte, Indiana passed away Wednesday August 25, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, Indiana. He had lived in the LaPorte area for thirty nine years coming from Hanna, Indiana. Born August 30, 1924 in Whiting, Indiana to Leo and Vera Rosenbaum Froh, who preceded. On January 30, 1965 in LaPorte he married Johnna Virginia Diederich, who survives. Mr. Froh enjoyed farming and was interested in model tractors and was a member of Farm Bureau. He worked for Purdue North Central as a boiler house operator for twenty years retiring in 1999. Surviving with his wife are two step-daughters; Cheryl Ariail Smith of Leo, Indiana, Leanne Brown of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, two step-sons; Charles Diederich of Oxnard, California, David Kathy Diederich of LaPorte, Indiana, two sisters; Edna Bennitt and Dorothy Stearns both of LaPorte, one brother; Harold Froh of Abilene, Texas, seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Froh was preceded in death by his parents. A private family service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
