Regina Matthews

Mrs. Regina L. Matthews, 81, of 40 Toronto St., LaPorte, Indiana passed away Saturday April 24, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital. She had been an area resident for 50 years coming from Judsonia, Arkansas. Mrs. Matthews was born November 23, 1922, in Judsonia, Arkansas to Conley and Edna Harvey Joyner, who preceded. On August 7, 1937 in Judsonia, Arkansas she married William E. Matthews who preceded in death January 16, 1991. She was a homemaker. Surviving are seven daughters; Jane Cox of South Bend, Indiana, Debbie Ron Salzer of LaPorte, Indiana, Virginia Weaver of Ward, Arkansas, Joan Mike Day of Great Falls Montana, Genevea Andrew Fry of Niles, Michigan, Cynthia Andre Propes of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Cathy John McManus of Hutsonville, Illinois, five sons; Joe Shirley Matthews of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Roy Sue Matthews of Redfield, Arkansas, Larry Pat Matthews of Arkansas, Mike Matthews of LaPorte, John Beth Matthews of Lafayette, Indiana, forty grandchildren, sixty-two great-grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday April 28, 2004 at the Haverstock Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike McKinnies officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday April 27, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8a.m. until time of service. . Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Regina Matthews.
