Rebecca "Becky" Rutkowski , 84, of Michigan City, Indiana, died Tuesday January 28, 2014 at VNA Hospice Center, in Valparaiso, Indiana She was born on November 6, 1929 in Halls, Tennessee, the daughter of Wayne Sanders and Grace (Tombs) Sanders. Rebecca was a member of Church of Christ in Michigan City, IN On May 22, 1920, in Michigan City, IN, she married Robert "Bob" R. Rutkowski who preceded her in death December 12, 2002. She is survived by her 3 sons - Dale (Bernadette) Human of Portage, IN, Michael (Janice) Human of KY, Stanley (Bonnie) Human of Michigan City, IN; many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She is also survived by many step-children of Ohio. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday February 1, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Roger Lee officiating.
