Rebecca Cannova

Mrs. Rebecca Lynn Cannova, 56, of La Porte, Indiana, died unexpectedly, Saturday November 28, 2009 at her home in La Porte. She was born May 7, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Russell Cannova and Agnes Vineyard Cannova, living in the LaPorte area for forty years, coming from Chicago, Illinois. Rebecca worked for Miller's Merry Manor. Rebecca loved gardening and spending many hours tending to her small flower garden. She enjoyed decorating her cozy home, especially during the Christmas holidays. She will be dearly missed by all, who knew and loved her. She is also survived by her son, Andrew Brooke Browne Leets of Rosenburg, TX; daughter, Amy Keith Harvey of LaPorte, IN; brother, Joseph Sandra Human of Palos Hills, IL; four sisters, Jean Kincannon of LaPorte, IN, Kay Parker of Orland Park, IL, Judi Gary Smith of Sussex, WI, Brenda Cannova of Woodridge, IL; dear friend, Jeff and her lhasa apso dog, "Sox". Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday December 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
