Raymond Lange

Mr. Raymond Herman Lange, age 92, of Rolling Prairie, Ind., died 10:05 AM Thursday, January 31, 2008, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born September 4, 1915 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Walter Lange and the late Martha Zirzow Lange. He has been a life long resident of the Rolling Prairie, Ind. area. Mr. Lange retired in 1980 from the LaPorte Co. Farm Bureau Co-op where he had worked for 27 years. He was a Veteran of US Army during WW II, V.F.W. Post #9423 of Rolling Prairie, IN., Lion's Club of Rolling Prairie, IN., Rolling Prairie Business & Community Assoc., Retired Kankakee Twp. Volunteer Fireman for 18 years. Rolling Prairie Masonic Lodge #291. On June 6, 1939 in Rolling Prairie, Ind. he married Lavonne Williams who survives. He is also survived by Two Sons, Mr. R. Howard Lange of Indianapolis, Ind., Mr. Thomas C. Bonnie Lange of Columbus, Ind.; Two grandchildren, Melissa Lange and Thomas Lange; and Several Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents and Two Brothers, Walter Lange and Harold Lange. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, February 3, 2008. Friends may also call from 10:00 AM Monday until time of the service at the church. Funeral service will be at Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2008, Rev. Dorothy Jones officiating. Interment will be at Rolling Prairie Cemetery in Rolling Prairie, Ind. A memorial service will be held by the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Assoc. on Sunday 2/3/2008 at 4:00 PM at the Haverstock Funeral Home.
