Raymond V. Jensen April 28, 1924-November 21, 2014 Mr. Raymond V. Jensen, 90, living with his son Russell in LaPorte, Indiana. He died Friday November 21, 2014 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born April 28, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Victor Jensen and Violet (Held) Jensen. Raymond was a member of Grace Baptist Church of La Porte. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII. Ray worked for 19 years for Kingsley Funiture, and worked 15 years for Haverstock Funeral Home. On January 1, 1962, in LaPorte, IN, he married Berniece Bass Jensen who preceded in death August 23, 2011. He is survived by his two sons, Russell (Angela) Jensen of La Porte, IN, Larry Jensen of Naperville, IL; daughter, Linda (Ronald) Zachara of Naperville, IL and several nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his two sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, November 24, 2014, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 25, 2014, 10:00 am - 11:00 am. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday November 25, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Hoffman officiating.
