Raymond Gustafson

Mr. Raymond D. Gustafson, age 80, of La Porte, IN, died Thursday, August 18, 2005, at Fountainview Terrace in La Porte, IN. He was born January 14, 1925 in Knox, IN, to Edward Gustafson and Hulda Jonsson Gustafson, who has preceded. Also preceded in death are three sisters, Ms Beda Gustafson, Mrs. Ethel Foss, Agnes Fawley, two brothers, Mr. Clifford Gustafson, Charles Gustafson. Mr. Gustafson has lived in the LaPorte area since 1949. On September 29, 1945 in Knox, Indiana, he was married to Pauline K. Kistler, who survives. Mr. Gustafsonas employed by Allis-Chalmers and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Veteran of US Army during WW II and was involved in the Anzio Beach, Italy landing, V.F.W. Post #1130, American Legion Post #83 of LaPorte, IN, D.A.V., LaPorte Lion's Club.. He Served in the Army during World War II. surviving is his wife, Mrs. Pauline K. Gustafson, of LaPorte, IN, One Daughter, Mrs. Loni Jerry Zygmont of La Porte, IN, One Son, Mr. Jerrold Gustafson of South Bend, IN, One Sister, Mrs. Lillian Muratori of La Porte, IN, Mr. Gustafson has Three grandchildren, and Three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2005, and from 10:00 AM August 22, 2005 until time of service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, August 22, 2005, with Rev. Reuben D. Eversman officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, IN. A Graveside Service will be conducted by the American Legion Post #83, at Pine Lake Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northern IN. Chapter 108 N.
