Randall Jones Sr.

Randall E. Jones Sr. August 27, 1942-December 31, 2017 Randall E. Jones Sr., 75, of Mill Creek, Indiana, passed away Sunday December 31, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born August 27, 1942 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Elvis G. Jones and Justine S. (Smith) Jones. Randall is a retired construction worker for Rogers and Sons Construction. He was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church, American Legion Post #400, and the Labor Union Local #5. As a younger man he enjoyed participating in all sports. On June 3, 1961, in Rolling Prairie, IN, he married Peggy J. (Mounce) Jones who preceded in death November 18, 2000. He is survived by his two sons, Randall E. Jones Jr., IN, Rodney S. Jones both of La Porte, IN; two daughters, Rhonda L. (Charles) Schmitt of Hudson Lake, IN, Robin (Gregory Jr.) Reese of New Carlisle, IN; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Randall was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a sister, Sherry Kay Ray. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2018, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Friday, January 5, 2018, 9:00 am until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday January 5, 2018 at 10:00 am with Mr. Dave Peery officiating.
