Ralph Schoff

Ralph W. Schoff April 5, 1919-January 19, 2015 Mr. Ralph W. Schoff, 95, of Union Mills, Indiana, died Monday January 19, 2015 at his home. He was born April 5, 1919 in Dayton, Michigan, the son of Rolla Schoff and Marie (Colburn) Schoff. Ralph was a member of Tracy United Methodist Church for 60 + years, and a member of the Kingsford Heights Legion for 55 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, during WW II. He had worked for Allis-Chalmers and also worked at Kingsbury Elevator and drove truck for LaPorte County, he was also a farmer. Ralph enjoyed playing cards and bowling. On October 22, 1941, in Walkerton, IN, he married Annette ( Ellis ) Schoff who preceded him in death in 2011. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (David) Draves of Kingsford Heights, IN; two sons, Steven Schoff and Charles Schoff, both of Union Mills, IN; daughter-in-law, Betty Schoff of La Porte, IN; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Rita Ellis of Hamlet, IN. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son, Mike Schoff; and two grandaughters, Pam and Diane Draves and daughter-in-law, Teena Schoff. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 10:00 am, until time of service . A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2015, at 11:00 am with Pastor Ann Dill, officiating. Interment will follow at the Tracy Cemetery, Hamlet, Indiana. A Military Service will be conducted by the Kingsford Heights American Legion at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tracy United Methodist Church.
