Phyllis Mumaw

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Thompson Mumaw, age 73, of La Porte, Ind., died 6:45 AM Monday, November 12, 2007, at Beverly Living Center -Fountainview in LaPorte, Ind. She was born February 5, 1934 in Crawfordsville, Ind. to the late Lloyd Thompson and the late Marguerite Hamm Thompson. She lived in the LaPorte area most of her life. Mrs. Mumaw was a homemaker. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother. Enjoyed working on hand crafts, crocheting, cross-stitching and embroidering and she was an excellent cook. On November 2, 1957 in Indianapolis, Ind. to David Mumaw who preceded in death March 27, 2005. She is survived by her Daughter, Mrs. Margaret Sawyer of La Porte, Ind.; Three Sons, William Mary Mumaw of La Porte, Ind., Lee Roberta Mumaw of La Porte, Ind., Thomas Tina Mumaw of La Porte, Ind.; Six grandchildren Conan Sawyer, Erik Sawyer, Matthew Mumaw, Andrew Mumaw, Dylan Mumaw, Bailey Mumaw; Two Sisters, Kay Callis of Waynetown, Ind. Audrey Terry of Edon, Ohio; Two Brothers, Arlie Thompson of Wauchula, Fla. and Max Thompson of Crawfordsville, Ind. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Three Brothers Hubert Thompson, Donald T. Thompson, Walter Thompson and One Sister Leatha Thompson. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 14, 2007 and from 9:00 AM to Thursday, November 15, 2007 until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 15, 2007, Rev. Hugh Smith officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
