Phyllis Messman

Mrs. Phyllis M. Messman, age 77, of La Porte, Ind., died 9:07 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born February 13, 1930 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Harry Chadderdon and the late Alice DeWitt Chadderdon. Mrs. Messman was homemaker and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She was also a member of V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary Post #1130. On February 22, 1947 in LaPorte, Indiana she married Clarence A. Messman who preceded in death April 29, 1995. She is survived by her Daughter, Mrs. Deborah Charles Lewis of New Carlisle, Ind.; Son Mr. John Janet Messman of La Porte, Ind.; Five grandchildren; Eight great-grandchildren; Two Sisters, Mrs. Lois Mitchell of Irons, Mich., and Mrs. Peggy Rinker of Union Mills, Ind. She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; Son, Richard Messman; and Brother Harry Chadderdon. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. A Graveside Service will be held at Patton Cemetery at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2007.
