Phillip Seymour

Phillip J. Seymour June 4, 1949-July 11, 2016 Phillip Seymour age 67, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia (Kapuscinski) Seymour; children, John (Michelle) Seymour and Adam (Sarah) Seymour; grandchildren, Evan Seymour-Garay, Pheobe Wasickanin, Matthew Kurzydlo, Lucas Kurzydlo and Avery Seymour; parents, James and Lois (Rameier) Seymour; brothers, Michael (Tami) Seymour, Douglas (Cathy) Seymour and Wayne (Beccy) Seymour and brother in law, Joseph Kapuscinski. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lee and Lily Seymour and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Kitty Rameier; mother in law, Margaret Kapuscinski and brother in law, Steven Kapuscinski. Phil was a 1967 graduate of La Porte High School. On June 20, 1970, he married Patricia Kapuscinski in La Porte, IN. He retired from Nipsco as a proud lineman. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, participating in car and tractor shows, Nascar, traveling to visit friends and spending time with family and his grand dogs especially Zeke. Phil was proud to be a member of the NRA. Phil struggled with Parkinson's Disease for many years but never gave up. He always wanted Pat by his side every step of the way and was grateful that he was able to see his sons happily marry. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue La Porte, IN with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Interment to follow at Salem Cemetery, Salem Heights, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service.
