Phillip Krueger

Mr. Phillip L, Krueger, Sr., 79, of La Porte, Indiana, died Sunday February 7, 2010 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte. He was born April 23, 1930 in Springfield Twp. LaPorte Co., Indiana, the son of Edward Krueger and Marie Benson Krueger. Phillip worked as a construction worker for Larson Danielson Construction Co. for over thirty years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Old Timers Baseball Club, and Local 81. Phillip was a die hard Cubs fan, and a Jeff Gordon fan, he enjoyed watching NASCAR. Phillip also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. On March 24, 1962, in La Porte, IN, he married Ruth Boone, who preceded him in death August 31, 1995. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Krueger of La Porte, IN; son, Phillip Marilyn Krueger, Jr. of La Porte, IN; three grandchildren, Jennifer Krueger, Brent Krueger, Justin Krueger and one brother, Gordon Krueger of Mill Creek, IN. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters and brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 12:00 pm, until time of services. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dan McDonald, officiating. Cremation will take place, with burial of ashes in the Pine Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Phillip L.
