Pearl R. Oliver January 24, 1934 - December 14, 2013 Mrs. Pearl R. Oliver, 79, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. She was born January 24, 1934 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the daughter of Brownlo Stepp and Minnie (Patton) Stepp. Pearl worked as a waitress for Timbers, Holiday Inn, and Christos before retiring in2005. She loved gardening, yard work, and traveling to Florida to visit family. She was married to Kellie Oliver Jr. who preceded her in death May 28, 1973. She is survived by her 2 sons - Gary Oliver of New Buffalo, MI, Jeffrey Oliver of Tampa, FL; 3 sisters - Betty Jean Pearson of La Porte, IN, Marylou Huskey of La Porte, IN, Barbara (John) Blaha of San Pierre, IN; brother - Danny Stepp of Tampa, FL; 3 Grandchildren - Jeremy Oliver of Tampa, FL, Ryan Oliver of Tampa, FL, Jessica Mathis of Roswell, GA; 2 Great Grandchildren - Kendahl Mathis of Roswell, GA, Jared Mathis of Roswell, GA. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Mark Oliver, sisters, Ellen Risner, Lois Stepp, and JoAnn Brick, brothers, Charles Stepp and Sami Stepp, grandson, Daniel Oliver. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 10:00 am until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday December 18, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating.
