Paula Sue Hartman, 66, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born November 16, 1944 in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Paul Phillips and Thelma (Flesher) Phillips. Paula had worked thirty years in Quality Control for Whirlpool Mfg, retiring in 2000. Paula loved going for long drives in the country and traveling. She also loved going antiquing, and cooking, especially baking pies. Paula loved spending time with her family and decorating for the holidays. She was married on October 10, 1964 in LaPorte, IN. to Larry Lee Hartman, who preceded her in death on September 19, 1985. She is survived by her special companion - Stuart Siebenhaar of La Porte, IN; son - Michael (Kelly) Hartman of South Bend, IN; daughter - Tammi Hartman of Fishers, IN; brother - John Phillips of La Porte, IN; sister - Carolyn Coulter of La Porte, IN; niece - Tracey (Joseph) Martin of Carmel, IN. Paula was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Private Service will be held at a later time with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
