Paul F. Kessler December 28, 1941-March 13, 2016 Mr. Paul Frederick Kessler, 74, of Stillwell, Indiana, passed away Sunday March 13, 2016 at his home in Stillwell. He was born December 28, 1941 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Frank Kessler and Emelia (Truchon) Kessler. Paul has lived in the La Porte area his whole life. He worked at American Home Foods and retired from the Indiana Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Stillwell Rod and Gun Club and a member of the NRA. He enjoyed trap shooting and watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed restoring his 1972 Chevelle and 1966 Corvette. In his earlier years he raced stock cars and was part of Buck Carven's crew. In Oct. of 1963 he married Beatrice Antrim Kessler who survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Scott Kessler of La Porte, IN, Gary Kessler of Chicago, IL; two grandsons, Garrett Kessler, Bryce Kessler; granddaughter, Madison Kessler; great-granddaughter, Leila Kessler; brother, Frank (Dena) Kessler of La Porte, IN and his two buddies, Cocoa and Kobe. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marianne Ivester and Amelia Loeffler. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 17, 2016, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, March 18, 2016, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday March 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating.
