Patricia A. Jacobs September 13, 1932-December 10, 2014 Mrs. Patricia A. Jacobs, 82, of LaPorte, Indiana, died Wednesday December 10, 2014 at Golden Living Center-Countryside in LaPorte, IN. She was born September 13, 1932 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of James O. Cockerham and Bessie Gladis (Heldelman) Cockerham. Patricia worked twenty plus years for American Home Foods. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and going to garage sales and then resale her items. Patricia took great pride in her family. On June 24, 1950, in Washington, IN, she married Norman W. Jacobs who preceded her in death April 27, 2014. She is survived by her two sons, Steve (Rosalie) Jacobs of Kingsford Heights, IN, Norman "Bruce" (Kim) Jacobs of Walkerton, IN; daughter, Erika (Cecil) Cockran of Winamac, IN; eight grandchildren; five step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Yozell Kirk of Vincennes, IN, Maryetta Wagoner of La Porte, IN; one brother, Kenneth Cockerham of Seymour, IN, and her extended family. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, December 15, 2014, from 10:00 am, until time service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday December 15, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ann Dill officiating.
