Mr. Otto E. Salzer Sr. 90 of 410 Niles Street LaPorte, IN died Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 6:43a.m. At LaPorte, Hospital in LaPorte, Indiana. He was born January 26 1914 in LaPorte, IN to Otto G. and Esther Reed Salzer, who has proceeded; Mr. Salzer lived all his life in the LaPorte area. Also preceded in death were a son Mr. Otto Salzer, a sister Evelyn, a sister Edith, and two brothers, Mr. Arnold Salzer, and Mr. Arthur Salzer. On October 01 1937 in Crown Point, IN he married Mary Jo Swift who preceded on August, 2 1996 Mr. Salzer worked for Swanson TV as a TV Technician and retired in 1980, at the time of retiring he was employed by Swanson?s TV of LaPorte, IN. Mr. Salzer was a member of the National Rifle Assoc. Surviving are one nephew Mr. William Natima Edwards of LaPorte, IN, a sister, Mrs. Mary Reuille of LaPorte, IN, 4 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. The Funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00p.m. At Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Cindy Barnem-Steggerda officiating. Friends may call Monday November 1, 2004 from 5:00p.m. To 8:00p.m. And Tuesday from 8:00a.m. Until time of service. Burial will be in Pine lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
