Orlando Parras, 49, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Lutheran Health Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.

He was born May 21, 1972 in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico, the son of Enrrigue Parras and Petra (Adame) Porfirio.

Orlando lived in La Porte for 23 years, coming here from California.  He was a baptized and confirmed catholic, attending St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte. He enjoyed soccer, especially Team America. Most importantly, he cared for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia; two sons, Orlando Parras, Jr. of La Porte, IN, Giovanni Parras of La Porte, IN; three daughters, Yazmin Parras of La Porte, IN, Angelin Parras of La Porte, IN, Diana (Giovanni) Diaz of CA; four brothers, Indalecio Parras of CA, Juan Parras of CA, Enrique Parra of CA, Vernardo Martinez of CA; two sisters, Aida (Geronimo) Parras of La Porte, IN, Rosario Parras; grandchild, Roman Diaz and one on the way.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends on Monday October 11, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:15, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 4:30 p.m., with Father Nate Edquist, officiating.   Burial will be in California.
