Oda Tieman

Mrs. Oda Mae Remmert Tieman, age 94, of La Porte, Ind., died 12:45 PM Saturday, August 12, 2006, at Countryside Place in LaPorte, Ind. She was born July 22, 1912 in Westville, Ind. to the late Andrew Remmert and the late Dora Thomas Remmert. She has been a life time resident of the LaPorte area. Mrs. Tieman was employed by Woolworth's Dime Store for 15 years and the LaPorte County Court House for 6 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. On November 24, 1938 in LaPorte, Ind. she married Lester C. Tieman who preceded in death February 3, 1971. She is survived by her Two nieces, Mrs. Sherry Waters of LaPorte, Mrs. Jeanette Hill of Missouri; One Nephew, Mr. Vernon Gotschall of California; Several Great, Great Great, and Great Great Great Nieces and Nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2006 and from 9:00 AM Wednesday until time of the Service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2006, Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
