O. Arney

Mrs. O. Darlene Arney, age 80, of Fish Lake Walkerton, Ind., died 2:40 PM Thursday, September 21, 2006, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born May 19, 1926 in Mill Creek, Ind. to the late Russell Wiltfong and the late Mabel Wedel Wiltfong and she has lived in the Mill Creek - Fish Lake area all of her life. Mrs. Arney was employed by Gateway Industries for 15 years and retired in 1982. She had also worked at America Rubber for 10 years. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star of North Liberty and American Legion Auxiliary. On March 8, 1947 in Mill Creek, Ind she married Dewaine Jim Arney who preceded her in death August 30, 2001. She is survived by her Daughter, Delene Arters of Louisville, Ky.; Son, Mr. Douglas Arney of Walkerton Fish Lake, Ind.; Four grandchildren; Three great-grandchildren; Sister, Alice Mae Reese of La Porte, Ind.; Brother, Marsena Wiltfong of North Liberty, Ind. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, Three Sisters, Floy Rensberger, Enola Wiltfong, Leota M. Clark and a Brother, Russell M. Wiltfong. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2006, Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Interment of ashes will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mill Creek, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary of Fish Lake, Mill Creek Baptist Church, or the Eastern Star of North Liberty.
