Mr. Norman K. DeWitt, 64 of 1501 J Street LaPorte, Indiana died Tuesday November 16, 2004 at 2:50a.m. In St. Anthony Hospital Michigan City, IN. He was born September 12, 1940 in Medaryville, IN to Martin ?Barney? and Ethel Louise Cody DeWitt who has proceeded. Mr. DeWitt lived in the LaPorte area, since 1955, coming from Lake Station, Indiana. On July 2, 1966 in LaPorte, IN he was married to Marilyn Colburn, who survives. Mr. DeWitt worked at Berkel Corp. for 34 years retiring in 2000 Mr. DeWitt was a member of the Polish Falcons #564 of LaPorte, and of the Machinist Union #1127, an avid player of pool, he was a lover of all animals, and a life-long cubs fan, he was the happiest when his family was around. Preceded in death was a brother Mr. Hollis Maple, a son Hiram DeWitt. Surviving is three son?s, Mr. Daniel DeWitt of Bradenton, FL, Major Douglas DeWitt of USMC of Monterey, Ca, Mr. Hollis DeWitt of LaPorte, IN, Two daughter?s, Mrs. Debra Biron of Bradenton, FL, Mrs. Penny Lyndale Spell of Bradenton FL, Three brother?s, Mr. Donald DeWitt of LaPorte, IN, Mr. Robert Carolyn Tower of Owosso, MI, Mr. James Gwenn Reeves of Lowell, IN, Three sister?s, Mrs. Bonnie Perry Pickens of Three Oaks, MI, Joy Ellen, Mrs. Judi Russell Pontius of Warsaw, IN. Mr. DeWitt has 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. The Funeral will be Friday November 19, 2004 at 10:30a.m. At Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN, With Rev. James Ferguson officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00p.m. And from 8:00a.m. Friday until time of service. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
