Norman Davis

Mr. Norman Keith Davis, 70, of Madisonville, KY, formerly of LaPorte, IN. died Saturday February 14, 2009 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. Norman was born April 23, 1938 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of George A. Davis and Rosa Wherley Davis. He lived in Madisonville, KY. for fifteen months, coming from LaPorte, IN. Norman worked as a truck driver for the Schneider Trucking Co. for twenty-years, also worked at the Jonick Trucking Co in Westville, IN. for five years, retiring in 1994. He attended the Hudson Lake Mennonite Church. He was also a Veteran of the US Marines. He is survived by his daughter, Toni Carl Baldwin-DuFour of Knox, IN, daughter, Mary Mike Grieger of Pella, Iowa, daughter, Cheryl Fobear of Elkhart, IN, daughter, Jacquelyn Davis of Greenville, KY, daughter, Jessica Chad Lortie of Butler, IN, Nine Grandchildren and one brother, David Davis of South Bend, IN. Norman was preceded in death by his father, Arthur G. Davis, mother, Rosa Davis. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 17, 2009 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. Services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Esther Lanting officiating. Interment will follow in the Lambs Chapel Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
