Nola Proud

Mrs. Nola J. Proud, age 71, of 0495 E. CR 400 N., La Porte, Ind., died Saturday, August 13, 2005, at 9:20 AM at her home in La Porte, Ind. and has lived in the LaPorte area all of her life. She was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Hanna, IN to the late Thurlow Hunsley and the late Alice Stoltz Hunsley. After raising her children Mrs. Proud worked 10 years for Danners Dime Store and then 10 years for the LaPorte High School Food Service and retired in 1999. She attended Seventh-Day Adventist Church and she was a collector of antiques, a bargian hunter and loved spending time with her family. On Jan. 3, 1953 in LaPorte, In. she married Donald Proud who survives. She is also survived by One Daughter, Mrs. Gayle Thomas Heise of La Porte, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. Glen Proud of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Brad Teresa Proud of Mill Creek, Ind.;One Sister, Mrs. Sharon Schnick of La Porte, Ind.; Seven grandchildren, Kevin Proud, Faye Proud, Matthew Proud, Lindsey Proud, Zachery Heise, Amanda Heise, Zane Heise; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Eugene Hunsley. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, August 15, 2005 and Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2005 with pastor Wayne Morrison officiating. . Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
