Noel Christopher Green February 2, 1972-September 25, 2015 Noel Christopher Green, fondly known to all who loved him as "The G", was born on February 2, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the only son of LaVeda Green-Franklin. Noel grew up in Kingsford Heights, Indiana, where he was member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ during his childhood years. As a member, he sang in the choir and acted in church plays. Noel was a graduate of LaPorte High School, and was a honor student of Ivy Tech Community College, where he anticipated receiving his degree in automotive technology in the Spring of 2016. As an honor student, Noel received a host of academic awards including: the Dean's List, membership in Phi Kappa Honor Society, and several certificates of excellence. Noel was an avid fan of the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan. He loved music, was a hip hop historian, and gym shoe collector. On January 31, 2013, Noel married the love of his life, Deborah (Carroll) Green, and they resided in Valparaiso, Indiana with their children. Noel was many things to many people. He was a mechanic; he was a protector; he was a brother, he was a counselor; he was a nephew; he was a son; he was a comedian; he was a husband; he was a father; and he was a friend. He was loved by so many people and could be counted on to help others. You could always depend on Noel in your time of need. Noel loved his family, especially his wife and children. Everything he did was to benefit them. God called Noel home on Friday, September 25, 2015. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife, Deborah Green of Valparaiso, IN.; his children, Ayanna Green, Destinee Losey, Jada Green, Mariah Sanders, Devin Green, and Jasmine Colone; his mother, LaVeda (Theron) Franklin, of Kingsford Heights, IN; his father, Willie (Adell) Stallworth, of Dolton, IL; his sisters, Tia Stewart of Oklahoma City, OK, and Erika Stallworth of Michigan City, IN; his grandmother, Ruby Stewart of Anadarko, OK; mother-in-law, Alice Carroll of Valparaiso, IN; step-siblings, Theron Franklin, Jr., Bobbie Calbert, and Kresser (Kevin) Biggers, all of Nashville, TN; special uncle and aunt, Greg and Claudine Beaty of Kingsford Heights, IN; special sister-cousins, DaCe Beaty, Mailaika Beaty, Africa (Starling) Beaty-Rogers, and Mericka Beaty; special brother-cousin, Darius Beaty; nephews, Vincent Mason and Grey Rogers; niece, Aspyn Beaty; and special friends, Kevin "KV" Ashford, Javadis Beaty, Chris Hamblin, Artell Fletcher, Donnell "Moochie" Lipscomb, "Uncle" Leonard Lipscomb, and Joseph Mikowski. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his friend, Timothy Stout, and his maternal grandfather, Nathan Stewart, Sr. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN, The family will receive friends at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ in Kingsford Heights, IN on Friday, October 2, 2015, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ 304 Drummond Road Kingsford Heights, IN, Saturday October 3, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Michael Bush officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the care of his children.
