Nancy Wood

Mrs. Nancy L. Wood, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday December 22, 2010 at La Porte Hospital. She was born June 25, 1932 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Richard E. Salzer and Lois Bunton Salzer. Nancy was a homemaker and lived in the La Porte area all of her life. On September 27, 1952, in La Porte, IN, she married Robert B. Wood who preceded her in death July 19, 1999. She is survived by her 3 daughters - Pamela Paul Wood of Fishers, IN, Shelley Daniel Semyck of Aurora, IL, Karyl E. Wood of La Porte, IN; 1 grandchild - Nicole Chicoine of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 step grandsons - Timothy W. Kleiner of SC; and Sean P. Semyck of Murfreesboro, TN. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 brother, Richard L. Salzer. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm & Monday, December 27, 2010 from 10:00 am until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday December 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Howard Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.
