Nancy A. Gakle August 29, 1940-November 21, 2014 Nancy A. Gakle, 74, of La Porte, Indiana, died Friday November 21, 2014 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. She was born August 29, 1940 in Wanatah, Indiana, the daughter of Clem Curry and Venita (Sink) Curry. Nancy had worked for LaPorte Hospital. She attended Bethany Lutheran Church of LaPorte. Nancy enjoyed sports, and the LaPorte Slicer Baseball. She loved her family very much. On October 21, 1961 in LaPorte, IN, she married William Gakle who preceded her in death December 15, 1965. She is survived by her two sons, William Gakle of La Porte, IN, John (Michele) Gakle of La Porte, IN; seven grandchildren, Keith Gakle, Erik Gakle, Shelby Gakle, Erin Snyder, Kayla Mueller, Johnny Gakle, Brock Gakle; five great grandchildren; one brother, Donzal Curry of Pineville, WV, and two sisters, Roslyn Cooley of La Porte, IN, and Marilyn Cannon of La Porte, IN. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Kenneth Gakle, six brothers, and six sisters. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, November 26, 2014, from 11:00 am until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the LaPorte High School Booster Club.
