Nancy A. Chapman May 24, 1941-June 12, 2016 Nancy A. Chapman age 75, peacefully passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Ronald W. Chapman; children, David (Kristine) Chapman, Sandra (Donald) Lambe and Carolyn (Sherman) Simonin; grandchildren, Trenton Chapman, Tabetha Chapman, Katlyn Lambe, Joshua Lambe, Brendan Simonin and Ryan Simonin; great grandchildren, Tessa Chapman and Leo Driesbach; brother, Donald (late June) Michaels; many nieces, nephews and dear lifelong friend, Rosemary Vendl. Preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Mabel Lena (Query) Michaels; siblings, Harold Eugene (late Shirley)Michaels, Gordon (Dorothy) Michaels, infant Mary Lou Michaels and James (Diane) Michaels. Nancy was born on May 24, 1941 in Wanatah, IN to Emory and Lena Michaels. She was a 1959 graduate of Clinton Township High School and went on to South Bend Business College. On December 2, 1961, she married Ronald Chapman at the Tracy United Methodist Church, Hamlet, IN. She retired from John Glenn School Corporation with over 30 years of service. Nancy was very active in the church, serving on many committees and coordinating many of the church activities, especially community outreach. Nancy's greatest accomplishment and joy was her love for her family. As a loving wife, mother and grandmother she will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Tracy United Methodist Church (1702 US 35 Hamlet, IN) with Pastor Ann Dill officiating. Interment to follow at Kingsbury Cemetery, Kingsbury, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Haverstock Funeral Home (602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN).
