Nacille Howkinson

Mrs. Nacille E. Howkinson, 84, of 713 W. 13th St., Mishawaka, Indiana, died Sunday March 20, 2005, at 5:30 p.m. LaPorte County time at the Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Bend, Indiana. She was born October 17, 1920 in South Bend, Indiana. Mrs. Howkinson was the Bookkeeper for many years for her husbands business Howkinson Reality of Cedar Lake, Indiana. She was a member of the Crown Point United Methodist Church, a member of the LaPorte Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and she enjoyed music, art poetry, and was very devoted to her church and bible studies. She was married on Oct. 27, 1945 in Westville, Indiana to Earl Swanson who preceded her in death on October 2, 1958; she remarried on May 19, 1962 in South Bend, Indiana to Robert Howkinson who preceded her in death March 17, 2001. Her parents and one brother also preceded her in death. Surviving are 2 sons, Ned Linda Swanson of Mishawaka, Indiana and Zane Jane Swanson of Emporia, Kansas. The funeral service will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Noon at the Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Doug Hadley officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 until time of the service.
