Myrtle Barden

Mrs. Myrtle Barden, age 96, of 2052 E. Hwy. 6 &35, Hamlet, Ind., died Sunday, January 29, 2006, at 9:15 AM at her Residence and the home of her son-in-law Gerald Bollman in Hamlet, Ind. She was born January 28, 1910 in Logan WV to the late Van Buren Clark and the late Martha Hanna Clark. Mrs. Barden was homemaker and a member of the First Apostolic United Pentecostal Church. She was a Strong Supporter of Revival Fires Ministries of Hannibal, MO and she loved her savior and Lord Jesus Christ. On Oct. 16, 1931 in Logan WV she married William L. Jeffrey who preceded in death in 1969. She remarried Oct. 23, 1971 in LaPorte, IN to Orville Barden who preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1973. She is survived by her Three Daughters, Susan Kay Stewart of LaPorte, Ind., Lois Ann Lawson of Columbus, Ohio, Alice Jeffrey Jeffrey of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Two Sons, William K. Jeffrey of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Son-in-law Mr. Gerald Bollman of Hamlet, Ind.; Sixteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; One Daughter, Betty Bollman; Two Sons, Naaman Jeffrey, Walter S. Jeffrey; One Sister and Seven Brothers. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2006. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2006, Rev. Richard Hoffman officiating. Interment will be at Kingsbury Cemetery in Kingsbury, Ind.
