Mr. William Wallace

William J. Wallace, 51, of Butler, Indiana, (formerly of LaPorte, IN.) died Thursday, August 4, 2011 in Toledo, Ohio He was born May 20, 1960 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of Nicholas L. Wallace and Barbara Jean (Gourley) Wallace. William worked as a logger for Graber Lumber of Spencer, IN. William was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping and loved logging. William especially loved spending time with his children and family. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Jean Wallace of Rolling Prairie, IN.; 4 sons - William Wallace, Brian Wallace, both of La Porte, IN, Keigan Wallace, Noah Wallace, both of Fort Wayne, IN; 4 daughters - Lindsie Smoker of Ligonier, IN, Trina Wallace, Dinah Wallace, both of La Porte, IN, and Haley Wallace of Ft. Wayne, IN; eight grandchildren; 2 brothers - Nicholas L. Wallace of Butler, IN, Marshall Wallace of La Porte, IN, and one sister - Dawn Bennett of Warren, IN. William was preceded in death by his father. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 1:00 pm, until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday August 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of William J. Wallace.
