Mr. William Laderoot

Mr. William F. Laderoot, 72, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Friday August 19, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born February 23, 1939 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Sylvester Laderoot and Leone (Shafer) Laderoot. William worked for Kingsley Furniture Co. for 39 years as an upholster and retired in 1997. William was a veteran of the US Air force. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a very happy person and enjoyed spending time with the children. He is survived by his Significant other - Nancy Bird of Rolling Prairie, IN; son - Justin Bird of Rolling Prairie, IN; 2 daughters - Glenda Stacy of Knox, IN, Desiree Stacy of La Porte, IN; 6 grandchildren; sister - Carolyn Whitman of South Bend, IN; 8 nieces and nephews - Crystal Taylor, Jamie Garrett, Scott Harris, Leah Galloway, Carie Whitman, Bard Whitman, Sandy Whitman, Misti Maynard; and numerous great nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Harris and 1 grandson. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. Graveside Services will be held at Patton Cemetery, Tuesday August 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will follow.
