Mr. Terry Job

Terry L. Job May 7, 1941-August 11, 2015 Terry L. Job, 74, of La Porte, Indiana, died Tuesday August 11, 2015 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. He was born May 7, 1941 in Walkerton, Indiana, the son of Leslie and Verda (Stephenson) Job. Terry had worked 34 years as an upholsterer for Kingsley Furniture, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and committee member. Terry was a loving family man. He enjoyed riding motorcycles but above all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, taking the family camping, boating, fishing. On March 18, 1961, in First Baptist Church LaPorte, he married Ellen (Harness) Job who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Lee) Handlen of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Christopher (Jackie) Job of La Porte, IN, Craig (Kathryn) Job of La Porte, IN; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Poff of La Porte, IN, and Sharon (Tim) Welty of La Porte, IN; family friends, Dennis and Sally Biege of La Porte, IN, and Clyde and Kathy Organ of Stillwell, IN. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, great-grandchild, Damion, brother-in-law, Ralph Poff, two sisters, Velma Peterson, and JoEllen; two brothers, Robert Irwin, and Charles Irwin. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15,2015 at 3:00 PM at the Briarwood Apartments Community Center 200 Plymouth Lane, LaPorte, IN.
