Mr. Terence Blake

Terence R. Blake April 30, 1956 - August 8, 2012 Mr. Terence R. Blake, 56, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012, as a result of a traffic accident. He had lived in La Porte for 19 years, coming from Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born April 30, 1956 in Pleasanton, California, the son of Delbert Blake and Carol (Head) Blake. Terence worked as a pipe insulator for New Energy Corp. He was a member of Rolling Prairie Community Center and served in US Marines. Terence loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed restoring his old truck. Terence enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. On October 19, 1978, in Mason, MI, he married Linda Skiffington Blake, who also died on August 8, 2012. He is survived by his son - Terence Blake of Venice, FL; 3 daughters - Tashonna Ebersole of Rolling Prairie, IN, Lea (Kyle) McNew of La Porte, IN, Tarra Blake of North Port, FL; 11 grandchildren; 3 brothers - Mike Blake of Mishawaka, IN, Mark Blake of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin Blake of Mishawaka, IN, and sister - Karen Walorski of Osceola, IN. Terence was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 CDT pm & Monday, August 13, 2012 from 9:30 am CDT, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday August 13, 2012 at 10:30 am CDT. Cremation will follow.
