Mrs. Thelma Chance

Thelma M. Chance, 90, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Monday May 23, 2011 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte. She was born January 17, 1921 in Westville, Indiana, the daughter of Clarence Logman and Hattie (Wyman) Logman. Thelma had lived in LaPorte Co. all of her life. Thelma was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church Westville, IN. In LaPorte, IN, she married Earl Chance who has preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons - Rondall (Linda) Chance of La Porte, IN, Steve Chance of La Mesa, CA, and several nieces and nephews. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Sandra Chance, and three brothers, Raymond, Charles and Don Logman. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Pinhook Cemetery, on Friday June 3, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Daniel Cho officiating. Cremation will take place. Burial of ashes will follow at the Pinhook Cemetery, LaPorte, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westville United Methodist Church Westville, IN .
