Mrs. Sun Turner

Mrs. Sun Ye Turner , 67, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday March 9, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born September 9, 1945 in Mokpo, South Korea, the daughter of Kim Naabee and Kim Boogee. Sun Ye worked at Howmet Corp. for 20 years then worked for the last 13 years at Michigan City Baking. She attended her church regularly. On October 28, 1974, she married Darial Turner in Junction City, Kansas. He survives along with her son - Daniel Turner of La Porte, IN; daughter - Tiffonee Mima Turner of Indianapolis, IN; grandchild - Alyvia Ohime; 4 brothers and 2 sisters living in Korea; 3 brother-in-laws - Carl Turner, Dale Turner, Clay (Dawn) Turner all of La Porte; 5 sister-in-laws - Jean (John) Eddy, Talina Turner both of Kingsford Heights, IN, Mary (John) Hutchinson, Calla (Eric) Arnholtz both of Union Mills, IN, Joy Turner of La Porte, IN; many nieces and nephews and long time friends - Yuni, Rose, Margene Sun Ye was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister; 2 brothers-in-law, Rocky Turner, Paul Turner, sister-in-law, Vicky Lemley, and parents-in-law, Roscoe & Mima Turner. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 9:00 until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday March 14, 2013 at 11:00 am where Pastor Ernie Melton and Preacher John White will be officiating the celebration of life. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, IN. A dinner will be held after the celebration at South Center United Baptist Church at 2507 Hwy 6 and Hwy 35 in Hamlet Indiana.
